Testimonial from Audrey, Marketing Manager at Terre d’Oc
What a strange time we’re living through… it fills me with nostalgia for my days spent juggling home, the children and my job at Terre d’Oc
My daily routine before lockdown: every morning, after the marathon of getting my two children – aged 11 and 4 – ready, we’d dash to the village school for a quick drop-off before the gates closed.
It’s 8.30 am; I relax, listen to my favourite music and take that road with its sublime horizon that links Manosque to Villeneuve, with the Southern Alps in my sights!
I arrive at Terre d’Oc. I walk through the factory’s enchanting garden, flanked by a small fountain, open the doors and am greeted by the ‘Terre d’Oc’ scent. Yes, there really is a unique fragrance wafting through the whole factory – a delightful blend of herbaceous, floral and fruity notes… production is already underway.
I make my way to my desk right in the middle of the open-plan office and catch up with my colleagues. My role, at the heart of new product development, comes to life alongside all the other departments.
Our large creative team consists of: Virginie, Sarah and Cécile in the regulatory department; Nath, Sam and Eléonore, who design the graphics for our unique, colourful and inspired packaging; Laurence in procurement, who works closely with all our suppliers; Emmanuelle, who passionately manages all aspects of sustainability; and finally Noël, the lone male member of the team, our designer responsible for packaging design and project management.
All this ephemerality
I miss all that fleetingness today… this bloody lockdown that cuts us off from our relationships, from our rich exchanges, from our professional purpose…
My job also involves working on communications, particularly managing our website with the teams at LK and our social media channels in collaboration with Pauline and her team. So in these times of standstill, in these very unusual times, we find ourselves asking a thousand questions…
What tone should we adopt in our news updates? Should we carry on sending you newsletters from our brand-new website, and should we keep posting inspiring photos of our teas…?
So we’ve made up our minds and decided to keep nurturing the relationship between us, which is still so fresh and new. We’ve also decided to stay positive in these anxious, uncertain times, and to bring a splash of colour and plenty of humanity!
Let’s support one another from the bottom of our hearts – the bond that unites us is so precious!
Audrey H.
