Sri Lanka

Located in the Indian Ocean to the outh east of India and once known as Ceylon, Sri Lanka is the fourth tea producer in the world. From the mountains to the plains, the gardens are to be found at altitudes ranging from 600 to 2500 in 6 régions, mainly in the southern part of the island, on the east and west facing slopes of the high plateaus. The black teas of Sri Lanka grow in a gentle climate which enables several harvests per year according to the monsoon periods and are appreciated all over the world for their amber brew and their vivacious, full-bodied character.
