What’s my day-to-day life like as a graphic designer?
I’m currently travelling in India to start work on a design for Chai Masala, an organic spiced black tea.
It’s a journey through a country that’s captivating for its diversity, its religion and its social differences, yet one that leaves you feeling powerless in the face of the very real injustices of everyday life. India is so colourful, so intense, overflowing with… everything!
How can I capture on a blank sheet of paper all this energy, this sense of sharing embodied in this spiced tea, this national drink enjoyed on every street and in every home?
In the midst of this pandemic, creativity struggles to find expression, yet it is creativity that sparks acts of common sense from people in every country around the world as they seek solutions. So the desire returns for colour to regain the upper hand over these sombre current events.
Sitting here at my screen, out of respect for all those who are suffering and struggling, I’m going to try to draw in a relaxed manner.
